Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Red Wine
Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Red Wine
Awarded 91 points by Tim Atkin MW, this is one of South America's top Cabernet Sauvignon wines under£20. Representing a long-standing favourite in the Harvey Nichols range, the Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon is made by winemaking legend Eduardo Chadwick - Decanter Magazine's Man of the Year 2018 and the producer of world class wines like Seña, Viñedo Chadwick, Don Maximiano, Errázuriz and many more. As you'd expect from a regular competition prize winner, the production of Arboleda's Cabernet Sauvignon is meticulous. Grapes are handpicked and closely inspected before being vinified and blended. It then undergoes extensive ageing, spending 14 months in French oak. On the nose, this red expresses aromas of freshly picked red fruit, combining notes of cherry, blackberry, blueberry and strawberry, as well as touches of caramel, vanilla and spices from the barrel ageing. The palate is rich and full of dark fruit, admirably accompanied by liquorice, English breakfast tea, chocolate, tobacco, clove and caramel sensations that transcend the overall complexity. Extremely persistent and refined, this is a classy Cabernet Sauvignon that really over-delivers for the price. Arboleda was one of the first wineries to be certified under Chile's National Sustainability Code, which guarantees environmentally friendly production and social responsibility. They protect 1,450 hectares of native forests, providing a natural habitat for flora and fauna.£2.53 per 100.00ml
