Bombay Sapphire Limited Edition English Estate Gin
Rather like the Great White Shark, the sleek and streamlined Bombay Sapphire has barely had to evolve. This legend of the blue has remained at the top of the food chain without releasing a new gin for over three years. The reason for the sudden change? That's probably one for David Attenborough, but we're very glad it has happened. And it's bound to get snapped up pretty quickly. The brand new limited-edition release is called English Estate. Created at the stunning Laverstoke Mill Distillery in Hampshire using three new botanicals - Pennyroyal mint, rosehips and toasted hazelnuts - it captures the essence of an English garden, surrounded by hedgerows, rolling hills and verdant countryside. Master Distiller Dr. Anne Brock and Master of Botanicals Ivano Tonutti have used the classic Bombay Sapphire base, but layered into it refreshing mint, roasted nuttiness and a tang of rosehips reminiscent of hibiscus. Bright and citrusy, with notes of Fox's Glacier Mints and pepper, this is gin to take outside. Serve with a premium tonic - we particularly like it with Harvey Nichols Raspberry&Mint Tonic Water - garnished with a twist of lemon peel and a sprig of mint. Alternatively, make a picnic of it and mix with cloudy apple juice or a dash of ginger beer.£3.71 per 100.00ml
