Cambridge Distillery Curator's Gin 500ml
Cambridge Distillery Curator's Gin 500ml
Curator's Gin is part of a range from Cambridge Distillery called'The English Herbarium'. It pays homage to the English countryside that encouraged them to create the distillery in the first place. The recipe was developed under the expert supervision of Cambridge University Botanic Garden's Curator, Sam Brockington. The botanicals were picked by hand and include lemon lavender, ginger rosemary and crisp apples from a scion of the tree at Woolsthorpe Manor that inspired Sir Isaac Newton's theory of gravity. Floral and intense, this exquisite gin displays lavender, Chablis-like minerality, herbal complexity, liquorice sweetness and a wonderfully warming finish. Although suitable for all manner of cocktails, we recommend serving it simply with an Indian tonic water and a garnish of either a fresh rosemary sprig or a slice of fresh ginger. Lucy and William Lowe were inspired to found Cambridge Distillery while walking through the meadows that surround the city. So, as you can imagine, their gins capture a beautiful freshness and natural delicacy. To achieve this, they developed a unique novo-dimensional distillation matrix that allows them to tailor nine different variables (including temperature, time, pressure and six other parameters) to each botanical that they use. Named the"world's most innovative distillery"three consecutive times, their scientific approach, dedication and attention to detail is reminiscent of Heston Blumenthal. They've made gins tailored to an individual person, gins using artificial intelligence and gins from red wood ants. So, we have no idea what will come next. You'll just have to watch this space…£5.71 per 100.00ml
