Charbonnel Et Walker Fine Pink Chocolate Handcrafted Easter Egg With Pink Marc De Champagne Truffles 245g
Possibly the most ingenious Easter egg box ever invented, it's almost like something devised by Q in a Bond film. The golden cannister slips out of Charbonnel et Walker's elegant, hen-dotted tube to reveal a secret compartment filled with their world-famous Pink Marc de Champagne Truffles. It then hinges open to expose an Easter egg - handcrafted from the creamiest white chocolate and dyed a glamorous pink using a little beetroot - nestled in a protective bed of straw beneath. The chocolate is incredible, as you would expect from one of the country's finest chocolatiers, but the experience is what makes this such a sublime Easter gift. Established in 1875, Charbonnel et Walker is one of Britain's first and foremost chocolate makers. After a little cajoling from Edward VII, Mrs Walker and Madame Charbonnel's opened a shop making chocolate fit for royalty. That shop has stood on Bond Street ever since and has been frequented by the likes of Princess Diana, Princess Margaret, Wallis Simpson, Sir John Gielgud, Sir Alec Guinness, Lauren Bacall, Noel Coward and many more.
