Ferrari Maximum Rosé Trentodoc Sparkling Wine NV Sparkling Wine
Ferrari's versatile and contemporary Maximum line was created specifically for the restaurant industry, but if you're cooking chef-grade food at home, we decided there should be no limits. Everything to the maximum, that's our motto. Ferrari Maximum Rosé is a Trentodoc, which means it's a sparkling wine produced using the classic method (the same as Champagne) and hand-picked grapes grown on the slopes of the mountains of Trentino. This one is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay and has been aged on the lees (the spent yeast that gives the greatest sparkling wines their creamy, nutty and bready character) for 36 months, which is more than twice as long as non-vintage Champagne requires by law. The vineyards are located at 300-600 m above sea level. This altitude gives the Maximum Rosé great concentration and lovely mineral notes, so typical of Ferrari's wines. On the nose, the Maximum Rosé is delicate and fragrant, with aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, peach, brioche, pizza dough and balsamic. The palate is smooth and elegant, with fine and silky bubbles and a balanced acidity. The combination of sweet and sour, plus perceived the seasoning of sea salt, make for a truly gourmet wine. Due to its delicate and rounded structure, this wine will pair perfectly well with antipasti, bresaola, seafood, caprese salad and most classic pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces. Giulio Ferrari was inspired by Champagne and his winemaking studies in France, which gave him the vision of producing Metodo Classico sparkling wine in Italy. The iconic Ferrari Trento brand is now owned and run by the third generation of the Lunelli family, who craft some of Italy's finest and most awarded fizz from their vineyards at the base of the Dolomites. This was proven by them being crowned'Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year'at The Champagne&Sparkling Wine World Championships in 2021.£4.93 per 100.00ml
