Vineyards in this area of Campania have coexisted with fruit trees, woodlands, olive trees and wild herbs since Roman times. Located in the Apennine Mountains, the climate is more Nordic than what would traditionally be considered Italian, and this creates high-acid wines that mature slowly and beautifully.
