Grant Burge The Holy Trinity GSM 2013 Red Wine
Grant Burge The Holy Trinity GSM 2013 Red Wine
This chunky red feels like Barossa Valley meets Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Dry-grown old vines, ranging between 35 and 90 years of age, provide the classic Rhône blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre, but kissed by the warm Australian sun. Gorgeous red fruits - think cherry liqueur, raspberries, plums and wild strawberries - are joined by vanilla and exotic curry spices, making a fine choice for comfort food and Sunday roasts. John Burge, Grant's great great grandfather, helped build the church in nearby Lyndoch. They called it The Holy Trinity, so that seemed like a fitting name for Grant Burge's classic GSM blend. Located in the very beating heart of South Australia's Barossa Valley, Grant Burge was established in 1988 and has rapidly risen to become a five-star winery according to James Halliday's Wine Companion. In fact, it has been awarded that elite status for eleven consecutive years. With access to some of the oldest vines in the area, Grant Burge is timeless Barossa.£3.33 per 100.00ml
