Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 15 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The standard strength version of this Laphroaig was named"Best 10 Year Old and under Scotch"in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2019. So, as you can imagine, there's always huge demand for the latest release of the ever-popular, small-batch, cask-strength version. Often fiendishly hard to track down, Laphroaig has produced another cracker for Batch 15 of their 10 Year Old Cask Strength. The claim on the bottle that this is"the most richly flavoured of all Scotch whiskies"may seem like a bold one, but few would argue with it, especially when turned up to a higher strength of 56.5%. Pronounced'la-froyg', this highly medicinal and maritime cockle-warmer buzzes with iodine, peat-burning kiln fires, seaweed, Arbroath smokies, tar, pipe smoke, tobacco, crashing waves, vanilla, Malted Milk biscuits, stick toffee pudding, smoked peppercorns, smoking chimney pots, beeswax candles, Manuka honey, roasted coffee beans, barbequed marshmallows, charred pineapple, leather boots, salted caramel, sesame oil, grass and the creaminess of Cullen Skink. Bottled in December 2021, this release is a great one to charge the hip flask with for long walks and camping trips.£12.71 per 100.00ml
