Limoncello Di Capri Limoncello Di Capri
Bring back all those sun-kissed Italian holiday memories with just one sip. Back in the 19th Century, the island of Capri in the Bay of Naples began to become a tourist destination. The pioneering Vincenza Canale, the owner of the legendary Mariantonia hotel, spotted an opportunity and started serving her guests the Limoncello she had crafted. In 1988, her descendants founded Limoncello di Capri in her honour and using her original recipe, becoming the first to use and patent the term"limoncello". Limoncello di Capri is made using the peels of Limone di Sorrento - lemons so delicious, they have their own PGI (Protected Geographical Indication). Despite being a bit cloudy, this liqueur is bursting with sunshine. Imagine lemon meringue pie, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sherbet lemons and lemon zest. Is there a better way to finish a meal than with a refreshing and uplifting Limoncello? Sip this spirit straight up and chilled. Alternatively, mix it into cocktails (Lemon Sherbet Margarita, Yellow Negroni, Renaissance or the classic Sorrentino Cocktail), or pour it on the rocks and top with soda or tonic water to make a fabulous aperitivo.£3.57 per 100.00ml
