Redbreast 15 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey
We weren't sure that Redbreast could improve on their signature 12 Year Old, but the extra three years have made the multi-award-winning 15 Year Old richer, thicker and stronger. It's Redbreast with the volume cranked right up. Created at Midleton, this is an Irish classic. Redbreast 15 Year Old Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey was first crafted in 2005 for La Maison du Whisky in Paris, and we're so happy that it has become more widely available since. Oozing vanilla fudge, nut brittle, jammy fruit, hot spices, chocolate-covered nougat, flambéed banana, apple pie, mango, beeswax, orange blossom honey, custard cream biscuits and freshly hewn oak flavours, it's mesmerising stuff and no collection should be without a bottle. Redbreast is a living legend of the Irish whiskey scene. Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley that's triple-distilled in a traditional copper pot still, it first appeared in 1912 when Gilbeys began selling a whiskey distilled by Jameson's that they had matured for 12 years. Although production ceased in 1985, it was soon re-launched due to popular demand and is now better than ever.£14.29 per 100.00ml
