Representing the world's first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, Seedlip was launched last year by creator Ben Branson who was inspired by a book on distilled non-alcoholic remedies written in 1651 called The Art of Distillation. Ben learnt that in the 1600s, apothecaries were using small copper stills to make non-alcoholic herbal remedies, and he was inspired to replicate this art and the original recipes. On a mission to solve the what-to-drink-when-you're-not-drinking-alcohol dilemma, Seedlip simulates the experience of drinking alcohol via a complex botanical flavour profile that marries astoundingly well with tonic water and other mixers. Seedlip can be served over ice in a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio with a range of mixers, but can also be used as the base of more extravagant alcohol free drinks. Seedlip Spice 94 represents the first product release from the brand, and is and aromatic and earthy blend of copper-pot distillates, including allspice, cardamom, lemon and grapefruit. It is crafted in a similar manner to a gin, just without the alcohol - along with no addeed sugar or sweeteners. It works deliciously well with straight tonic and a grapefruit twist.£4.14 per 100.00ml
