St Hallet Eden Valley Riesling 2017 White Wine
St Hallet Eden Valley Riesling 2017 White Wine
High on refreshment, relatively low in alcohol, St Hallet's mouth-watering Eden Valley Riesling gets it crispness from being grown at 700m altitude. Crunchy green apple, lemon sorbet, waxy lime peel, beach pebbles, a flash of petrol and a creamy texture that makes it oh-so moreish. A cracking aperitif and a wonderful accompaniment to spicy food. St Hallett's story begins with a family moving from Europe and setting up a butcher in Australia, meanwhile planting their first vineyard. Established in 1944 and named after an explorer who wasn't an actual saint, they started by making fortified wines. The winery's history has been a long and tumultuous one, but it has now settled down to become one of the country's most respected wine brands and most reliable sources of great value fine wine.£2.27 per 100.00ml
