The sharp bite of crunchy wholegrain mustard is softened by the sweetness of honey, creating a delicious Tiptree sauce that's calling out for summer salads, roasted vegetables, burgers, hot dogs and sliders. Alternatively, use it to marinade chicken before roasting or barbecuing. The Wilkin family started fruit farming in the Essex village of Tiptree in 1865. To prevent the produce from spoiling on long journeys, they started turning it into jam in 1885. Wilkin&Sons Limited began to expand from just making'conserve'using homegrown fruit, to also crafting'preserve'using imported fruit. Now, Wilkin&Sons and the Tiptree jams created at their Trewlands factory are world famous. Keenly aware of the impact of the climate emergency, Tiptree has also become a market leader environmentally, reducing their chemical use by 80% and plastic in their packaging, planting thousands of non-fruit trees and hedgerows, and even becoming a Demonstration Farm for LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming).
