A premium gin so undeniably Italian that we don't think we'll be using anything else to make a Negroni from here on in… Nestled in the hills of Piemonte, Distilleria Santa Vittoria was opened in 2018. And its very first gin, Villa Ascenti, has already been awarded a five-star exceptional rating from the Difford's Guide for Discerning Drinkers 2020. Packed with provenance, Villa Ascenti Gin was distilled on a refurbished Frilli copper pot still from the 1970s by Master Distiller, Lorenzo Rosso. Lorenzo works hard with local farmers to create a truly homegrown gin using botanicals such as Moscato grapes, Tuscan juniper, mint and thyme. When you pour Villa Ascenti, you'll discover a vibrant and fruity gin with a touch of sweetness from the wine grapes. But what we love most about it, is its care-free and summery character combined with the freshness of a leafy dew-drenched garden. The minty note will make it a fine choice for Pimm's, the piney juniper excels in a gin and tonic, and the woody herbs and spices come alive in a Martini. But we're still off to make ourselves a Negroni. Ciao.£7.43 per 100.00ml
